Our prepaid meter system gives tenants full control of their utility usage while protecting landlords from non-payment. Here is how it works from start to finish.

Go to a retailer
The tenant visits a participating shop — such as Sasol, Engine, Pick n Pay, SPAR, or Woolworths — and requests a prepaid token.
- 02
Provide your meter number
The tenant provides their unique meter number at the counter. This number is tied specifically to their unit's meter.
- 03
Token is generated via UNIPIN
A request is sent to UNIPIN, who process the payment and return a unique token for the amount purchased.
- 04
Enter the token into the meter
The tenant punches the token into their meter using the keypad. The meter is updated with the purchased units of electricity or water.
- 05
Monthly transfer to the landlord
Consolidated funds are transferred to the property owner's account by the 7th of each month — automatically, with no manual collection required.
